DCI hired its first cabling employee in 1995 to cable labs for IBM Educational Learning Centers.  Since then, the department has grown to over 25 full-time employees and from 15-25 full-time contract employees.  Over the past 17 years, DCI has been the primary contractor for some of the largest cabling plants in El Paso to include local school districts, hospitals and banks, as well as city and county entities.  DCI, a member of the Building Industry Consulting Service International Association (BICSI), has an extremely experienced and highly trained and certified cabling staff that includes one RCDD, four project managers and seven separate cabling crews, each one managed by its own foreman and/or lead technician. 

The DCI foremen have been on staff an average of nine years and have an average of 10 years of experience.  This combination of knowledge and longevity allows DCI to provide its clients with the expertise and ability to deliver a cable plant of extremely high quality. 

DCI is an authorized Commscope Business Partner and has certified designers and installers on staff. This authorization gives us the ability to sell, install and support the Systimax and Uniprise Structured Cabling Systems. In addition, DCI is authorized to design, install and warrant Panduit, Siemon, Ortronics and Levitoncabling systems.

We also provide both copper and fiber cabling installation that can transition from the ceiling to the equipment racks or cabinets.

Our skilled, trained and certified cabling technicians provide quality data center equipment rack assembly and installation of the perfect service loop formations for each cable bundle. We also provide under floor cabling in a data center environment. Under-floor cable identifies “Cablefil®” pathways installed to manage trunk cabling more efficiently.

DCI also designs and installs quality network transport systems, illustrating the clear separation between copper and fiber riser cabling. The installation provides waterfalls forming 90o sweeps, transitioning from the ladder tray to the equipment rack.
